Chris Roberts, born May 27, 1968, is a game designer, programmer, and film producer from Redwood City, California. Roberts grew up in Manchester, England, but returned to the United States in 1986 to begin his career in the video game industry.
He has special thanks in the original Need For Speed, for loaning them his cars for testing during the game's development. Origin Systems, Inc. was an American video game developer based in Austin, Texas. It was founded on March 3, 1983, by Richard Garriott and his brother Robert. Origin is best known for their groundbreaking work in multiple genres of video games, such as the Ultima and Wing Commander series. The company was purchased by Electronic Arts in 1992.
Roberts will also serve as Executive Producer on Black Water Transit which films January 2007 in New Orleans.
