  5. Tanjong Katong Girls’ School was established in 1953 as the first post-war government English-medium girlsschool in colonial Singapore. In 1983, Tanjong Katong Girls’ School was selected to start the Music Elective Programme. In 1995, the school gained autonomous status and moved to 20 Dunman Lane.
