The NS Portal (NS.SG) is unavailable from 14 Jun 0000hrs to 30 Jun 2359hrs 2024, to facilitate the system transition to the new MHA NS Portal for Home Team National Servicemen. The new MHA NS portal will be launched on 1 Jul 2024 with improved user experience and enhanced NS e-services.

National servicemen serve two years of full-time NS upon being enlisted. After full-time NS, national servicemen must also complete 10 years of Operationally Ready NS (ORNS) training, and remain liable for NS until they reach the statutory age spelt out in the Enlistment Act.

Manage NSmen Payments. Via Manage NSmen Payments on the NS Portal, you can: Initiate the employed Make-Up Pay Claim Process. Submit/Cancel your self-employed Make-Up Pay claim. View your current and past claim amounts. Enquire about NS payments. Opt for payment notification by SMS and/or e-mail.
Service Pay and Make-Up Pay (MUP) Service Pay. Your Service Pay (SP) is equivalent to your full-time NS allowance, and dependent on your rank and vocation. This is set at a minimum of $1,600 per month, and pro-rated based on the duration of your ORNS activity. Half-day Service Pay will be paid for activities that are 4 hours or less.
