The inner city of Potsdam is in Zone A, the outer parts are in Zone B, and the hinterland is Zone C. Potsdam lies in Berlin's Zone C, so if you have a ticket for Berlin ABC or Berlin BC, you can use public transport in Potsdam with it as well. Don't confuse Potsdam's zones with Berlin's zones.
