To see after this was made, along with the man in custody, both Eliza's mum and friend had died, both of them relatively young (still in their 60s) was sad and of course Eliza and the man in custody were younger still. In a nutshell this came down to opioid addiction.

I thought it was going to go to a second episode, as not much seemed to have been cleared up at the 50 minute mark. A sudden rush of info and then the sentencing decision and that was it.

Nov 29, 2022 · The backlash against Bedfordshire Police and the CPS has been huge. Bedfordshire police were trying to justify it all but they have made it worse. There are around 3000 comments on their Facebook page. I don't think even one of them has stated that it was a fair decision and the 24 Hours in Police Custody is still the #1 trend on Twitter today.
