Adam Silver completely failed to deliver salary cap smoothing. Yes, the players had the right to reject it, but it’s Silver’s job to get things done in the best interest of the league— this includes convincing the players to adopt smoothing (which was in their best interest in the medium and long-term as only 2-free agent classes reaped all the rewards).
The funny thing is even though we have regular international programming, relatively affordable with good schedules available to us, most long term european fans watch through streams of TNT/ESPN broadcasts because of the production value, commentators, half time shows or even local commentary because it's 1000% better.

Adam Silver agrees. Hopefully the league can relieve some of the pains for watching games, and set a standard for other leagues.

Beyond that, Adam silver seems obsessed with the idea that ratings issues are because of the league format (in season tourney, play in) when really it is just due to the foul baiting, three point heaving offenses that every team runs, making it less interesting to watch for casual fans.
