Glad Tidings Church was pioneered by a Finnish missionary couple, the Kossilas. In 1957, being led by God to start a church work in the Upper Serangoon/Tampines area, this new work soon grew as neighbouring estates started to spring up due to the rapid developing of the suburban areas in Singapore.
Rev Dr Paul Ng. Senior Pastor Paul Ng SoonWang became the Senior Pastor of Glad Tidings Church in May 2019. Prior to that he was called into full time ministry in 1995 serving as a pastor while being active in the area of missions.

Glad Tidings International School (formerly known as Hope International Primary School) was set up in April 2007 by Glad Tidings Church, Singapore in partnership with ICM Singapore. The school is located in a rural area in Kampong Speu.

Pastor Lydia has served in Glad Tidings Church since she was 17. She answered the call to full time ministry and left her job as a teacher in 2013. She has, discipled and raised leaders within the Youth and Young Adults ministry.
