Oct 20, 2020 · Go to Section 4 and click on Download OS X Yosemite. This downloads InstallMacOSX.dmg to your Downloads folder. The next section can only be done on a mac that is capable of running Yosemite, a mac that came preinstalled with an OS later than Yosemite will refuse to do the next bit.

Jun 20, 2017 · Try booting the computer from that. Run Disk Utility Verify/Repair Disk and Repair Permissions (or First Aid if installing El Capitan) until you get no errors. Reformat the drive using Disk Utility/Erase Mac OS Extended (Journaled), then click the Option button and select GUID. Then re-install the OS.
Apr 13, 2012 · Select and make sure it is in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. Select Apply. Once you see the volume created. Go back to the macOS utility screen and select install MacOS. Switch over to Disk Utility (IIRC, should be in one of the menus), see if the HDD device is there.
Apr 7, 2021 · Apr 9, 2021 10:59 AM in response to Community User. Well, first of all OS X 10.8 is Mountain Lion, not Mavericks. OS X 10.9 is Mavericks. OS X 10.9 is no longer available from Apple. The only downloads I can find are third party archive sites and I would have serious reservations about downloading any of those. Community User Author.
Mar 16, 2023 · Mac OS X Mavericks I am in need of the Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks application for my early 2009 Macbook. I am currently using Mac OS X 10.11 but i personally dont like the UI and much prefer the design of the older OS. Any help would be amazing as i have been looking for the installer for months. My main problem is that i dont live in the usa.
Feb 2, 2014 · It sounds like you are having problems connecting to download the Mavericks installer. Hold down the Command-R keys and restart your computer. This puts you in the recovery drive where you can select to install Mavericks. If you already have the Install OS X Mavericks installer, simply run to install over your current install.
