As with the transition from Primary school, new students bond quickly with their peers and immediately become members of the Parmiter’s family. Our Sixth Form focuses on the transition from school to adult life, whether that is a move to university, an apprenticeship or the world of work.
We are situated in High Elms Lane, Garston, WD25 0UU. Off the A405 dual carriageway which runs between St Albans and Watford - in the same road as the Crematorium and St Michael's School. We are close to Junction 6 of the M1 and Junctions 19 and 21A of the M25.
Parmiter’s offers an extensive academic Sixth Form curriculum, with over 20 different A Level subjects offered. All A Level subjects are taught as two year linear courses. Cycling to School. Parmiter's School encourages students to cycle to and from school and has a bike shed for the storage of bikes during school hours. Bicycles may be left in the bike shed at the student's own risk. The school does not accept responsibility for bicycles left at school at any time.

Secondary Transfer to Year 7. Each year in September, 216 students are admitted to the school. Places are allocated in strict accordance with our admissions criteria as detailed below. You are advised to read the Policy for Secondary Transfer 2025.
