I typed in my trusted phone number but it said it was incorrect,I checked in my settings to see if i put in the right number which i did.Its been like this for months now it annoying.

Tap Send & Receive, then choose “Use your Apple ID for iMessage” and sign in with your Apple ID. Using the same Apple ID, sign back in to Messages and FaceTime on your other devices.

After the change, allow up to 24 hours for the change to sync. Before trying to make the change, sign out of Messages/FaceTime on all devices/computers. With the phone still turned on, take out the SIM tray for a few seconds and slide it back in then repeat my instructions. Settings, Messages, turn off iMessage. Settings, FaceTime, turn off FaceTime.
