Youngblood (1986) cast and crew credits, including actors, actresses, directors, writers and more.
New York farmer's son Dean Youngblood is a natural at ice hockey, the Canadian national sport. After selection for the Canadian Hamilton Mustangs, the future looks bright, even his landlady is hot. He falls in love with coach Murray Chadwick's daughter Jessie, causing a dangerous tension.
As for character interplay, Dean's relationship with Chadwick's daughter is entertaining, if far-fetched. Perhaps the most realistic relationship between characters in the film is the one between Sutton and Youngblood, as the top talents of hockey teams often have an appreciation for one another and pal-up off the ice.
Eric Nesterenko (Blane Youngblood, Dean's (Rob Lowe's) father) was a former professional hockey player, who had spent most of his career playing for the Chicago Blackhawks. Loosely based on the ice hockey experiences of Writer and Director Peter Markle .
The main character is stripped, held down by teammates in the locker room and has his pubic hair shaved as an initiation. Nothing is shown but could be disturbing to some viewers. Toward the beginning of the film, there is a brief scene where sex is strongly implied, but no body parts are shown.
