How to change the $ to pound (GBP) on the keyboard? It is all to do with keyboard languages.. Go to Control Panel > Region and Languages > Keyboards and Languages tab > Change Keyboards button. Set the default language for your keyboard and then remove all other keyboards. Don't forget to apply the changes.
