Jul 1, 2023 · I applied for a Uob credit card the same way you did. Got a reply in around 1-2 weeks. You should ask your agent what's going on. May not mean you have not been approved. You signed a form in a booth, a lot can go wrong once that form gets to the bank. The agent who signed you up should be able to help.
Nov 21, 2022 · UOB absolute took 1 month…. SC took <1 week. Recently, Posb and ocbc instant, Citibank 10 days. UOB is almost instant if you already have a card with them (in my experience). First one took a week or two to get approved then another few days for card to arrive. Personally for me it was instant, OCBC.

I have a UOB One acct with 100k deposit, GXS with 4k, a joint OCBC 360 account (newly opened) with my husband 2k, (not sure if relevant, but IBKR with 30k).
I didn’t know getting rejected = worse credit score. Can confirm. Self-employed take hairline cut at least 30% for income calculation meaning 5k-30%=$3.5k. Min to apply credit card should be around $30k p.a. but bank also look into your other commitments so it might fall short and also your payment record.

Jul 18, 2023 · You could also try putting down a $10k fixed deposit and open a secured card if you really want in. It doesn't hurt that fixed deposit rates are quite decent these days. 2. Reply. Not sure if anecdotal but UOB seems to reject credit card application by foreigners.
Apr 25, 2022 · Hello, UOB is rly stringent. If this if your first cc, the credit score is probably low. Try applying other cards first and come back after a few months Citi and dbs is a good start. I applied 2 months after working, application was smooth got the card in 1.5 weeks.
