Opened in 1971 as Singapore International School by then Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, UWC South East Asia (UWCSEA) became a full member of the UWC movement in 1975, expanding to include Primary students as young as 4 in the 1990s and adding a second campus in 2011.
We believe that education should help young people discover that change is possible, and that they can make it happen. As a UWC student, you’ll learn how you can inspire change through courageous action, selfless leadership, and careful listening.

The UWCSEA East Campus opened in 2008 and offers an enriching and challenging education to approximately 2,500 students ages 4 to 18.
