Rolando Villazón was born on 22 February 1972 in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. He is an actor, known for Joyeux Noel (2005), La Bohème (2008) and Live from Lincoln Center (1976).
In 2011, Rolando Villazón made his debut as a stage director with the critically and publically acclaimed production of Massenet’s Werther with the Opéra Lyon. In 2012 he directed Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden.
