  2. Masao Nagai received the Ph.D. degree in engineering from The University of Tokyo in 1977. He is currently an Executive Advisor with the Japan Automobile Research Institute and a Professor Emeritus with the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology.

Because of the tire nonlinearity that is mainly due to the saturation of cornering forces, vehicle handling performance is improved but limited to a certain extent only by steering control.
