  5. Nodar Gabunia or Gabuniya (1933 – 2000) was a Georgian pianist and composer, People's Artist of the Georgian SSR (1982), head of the Tbilisi Conservatory since 1984. He studied at the Moscow Conservatory and finished two classes: piano with Alexander Goldenweiser (1957) and composition with Aram Khachaturian (1962).
