Michael David Watt (born December 20, 1957) [1] is an American bassist, vocalist and songwriter. He co-founded and played bass guitar for the rock bands Minutemen (1980–1985), Dos (1985–present), and Firehose (1986–1994).
Apr 13, 2007 · The Book of Knots’ sophomore album Traineater takes a different approach, touted as a “tribute to the American Rust Belt,” finding its muse not only in the people behind the assembly lines, but the industry itself, the factories, the plumes of smoke, the steel and the lungs full of lead and asbestos.
This album is like a good party: fun for those who were present (e.g. Tom Waits, Kathleen Brennan, Mike Watt, Megan Reilly), but annoying for those who have to hear about it. Best tracks: Midnight, The Ballad of John Henry
