May 15, 2022 · Kent Chan is a Singaporean artist, curator, and filmmaker based in Amsterdam and Singapore. His practice revolves around our encounters with art, fiction, and cinema. He holds particular interest in the tropical imagination and the past and future relationships between heat and art.
Gasworks presents Future Tropics, the first UK solo exhibition by Amsterdam-based Singaporean artist Kent Chan. Chan uses film, sound, and installation to consider the relationship between climate and culture, and its ramifications on society.
