Shadow Star, known in Japan in full as Mukuro Naru Hoshi Tama Taru Ko (骸なる星・珠たる子 Mukuro Naru Hoshi·Tama Taru Ko?, The dead star and the jewel of a girl) and abbreviated as Narutaru (なるたる), is the name of a Japanese manga and of the anime series which was based on the manga.
Shadow Star Narutaru: With Asami Sanada, Kaori Tanaka, Kelly Ray, Marc Thompson. A twelve-year-old girl named Shiina Tamai bonds with a starfish-shaped creature whom she calls Hoshimaru.
Shiina is a sixth-grade tomboy whose brave and adventurous nature almost causes her to drown in the ocean. However, from the experience she meets a ‘Shadow Dragon' that she names Hoshimaru; strangely silent and star-shaped, it has the ability to shape shift and fly.
