Om Prakash Bhatt (born 7 March 1951) is an Indian banker and was the Chairman of State Bank of India from June 2006 until 31 March 2011 [1] [2] Presently, he is an independent director on the board of the 'Maharatna' Central Public Sector Enterprise - Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC), Tata Steel Ltd and also Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (HUL).
Mr. Bhatt is a director of Tata Consultancy Services and other multinationals. He retired as the chairman of State Bank Group, India's largest commercial bank, and led it to global rankings and economic diplomacy.
