Sylvia Fine Kaye (August 29, 1913 – October 28, 1991) was an American lyricist, composer, and producer. Many of her compositions and productions were performed by her husband, comedian Danny Kaye .
Sylvia Fine was the consummate show-business professional. She managed, organized, and produced much of Danny Kaye’s engagements while having a vibrant career of her own. In the later part of her life, she dedicated much of her time to researching the history of musical theater in America.

Sylvia Fine. Sylvia Fine (née Rosenberg), is the mother of Fran Fine, portrayed by actress Renée Taylor, and in early seasons by Fran Drescher (in flashbacks to Fran Fine's childhood).
Fine, a composer and writer, went from writing revues at small theatres to composing music for Danny’s studio films and teaching at Yale University. In 1990, Sylvia Fine made an initial donation to the Library of Congress to form the Danny Kaye and Sylvia Fine Collection.
