Feb 13, 2015 · Oddly enough he only released two under his own name, Keeper of the Drum and The Road Less Travelled in '89. But as Keeper of the Drums evidences, Smith was a team player and this is music where everyone gets equal space. At time you could think it was a Eubanks, Miller or Coleman album.
Robin Eubanks (born October 25, 1955) is an American jazz and jazz fusion slide trombonist, the brother of guitarist Kevin Eubanks and trumpeter Duane Eubanks. Younger brother Shane Eubanks, twin to Duane Eubanks, is a DJ. His uncles are jazz pianist Ray Bryant and bassist Tommy Bryant.

Oct 28, 2011 · Robin Eubanks is one of the preeminent trombone players in jazz. He has recorded and performed with legends Art Blakey, JJ Johnson, Joe Henderson, Dave Holland and many others. He has also blazed the musical trail as a founding member of M-Base and pioneered in the creation of the first electronic trombone.
