William Lord Wright (November 14, 1879 Bellefontaine, Ohio – April 21, 1947 Hollywood, California) was an American screenwriter and film producer. Wright was a newspaper reporter in his hometown of Bellefontaine, Ohio, before going to Hollywood in 1917 where he wrote film scripts for Selig Studios for many years.

Frank Lloyd Wright was born in Richland Center, Wis., on June 8, 1867, the son of William Carey Wright, a preacher and a musician, and Anna Lloyd Jones, a teacher whose large Welsh family had settled the valley area near Spring Green, Wisconsin.
A screenwriter and producer, he is most remembered for his scripts for Ace of Spades (1925), Fighting with Buffalo Bill (1926), and The Vanishing Rider (1928). His producing credits include The Border Wildcat (1929), The White Horseman (1921), and The Indians are Coming (1930).
