Lo Wei (12 December 1918 – 20 January 1996) was a Hong Kong film director and film actor best known for launching the martial arts film careers of both Bruce Lee, in The Big Boss and Fist of Fury, and Jackie Chan, in New Fist of Fury.
In 1974 he founded the Lo Wei Film Company and directed a half-dozen features with Jackie Chan between 1976 and 1979. Lo's output slowed down in the 1980's, but he continued to be involved in motion picture production until his death in 1996.
Lo Wei Motion Picture Co., Ltd. (羅維影業有限公司) was a Hong Kong film production company active from 1975 to 1988. It was founded by director Lo Wei who had previously left Golden Harvest in 1974. This company is known for launching the career of Jackie Chan, through the 1976 film New Fist of Fury.
