Y&T (originally known as Yesterday & Today) is an American hard rock/heavy metal band formed as a cover band in 1972 in Oakland, California, with the lineup that would record the first album being cemented in 1974.
Originally formed as Yesterday and Today, the initial powerhouse quartet—featuring Dave Meniketti (lead guitar/lead vocals), Phil Kennemore (bass), Leonard Haze (drums), and Joey Alves (rhythm guitar)—tore through the ‘70s and ‘80s with their own brand of hard rock.
Struck Down is the second studio album by American hard rock/heavy metal band Yesterday and Today, released in 1978. It was one of the last rock albums to be released by London Records. The band would change their name to Y&T for their next studio album, Earthshaker.

Jun 7, 2023 · Y&T never got the plaudits and fame the likes of Bon Jovi or Def Leppard but they hands down had better songs, better live shows and are still at the top of their game today. A must for Y&T fans, a must for live albums lovers and a must for any would be rocker worth a damn.
Yesterday and Today is the self-titled debut studio album by American hard rock/heavy metal band Yesterday and Today, released in 1976 through London Records. Long out of print, in 2009 it was made available on the band's official website together with the follow-up, Struck Down, on a single CD.
