Walter Beck was a German fighter pilot during World War II who helped guide American P-51 pilot Jackson Gibbs find his way back to base. Beck at some point at signed up for the Luftwaffe before or during World War II.
As a member of the Archon's bloodline, the Hero of Brightwall was the most powerful Hero of their time, and eventually rose to become one of the most powerful Heroes of all time. During their childhood, the Hero was trained by Walter Beck, a skilled and experienced swordsman.

Walter was a soldier of the Kingdom of Albion, an old friend and companion of the late of Sparrow, the mentor and father-figure of the Hero of Brightwall, and the former assistant and adviser of Logan.
