Muthukulam Raghavan Pillai (1900–1979) was a Malayalam dramatist, poet, screen play writer and actor who was well known in the role of Ashaan in Kavyamela. He was born in 1900 in Muthukulam, a small village near Haripad in Alappuzha District, Kerala, India.
The story and dialogues were written by K. P. Kottarakkara. Cinematography was handled by V. Ramamoorthy and the sound recording was done by Krishna Elamon. This is the film debut for Playback singer Kamukara Purushothaman and stage actor C. I. Parameswaran Pillai.

Plot. Kamalamma's two sons, Madhavan and Leela, were separated by a terrible epidemic on the beach where they were staying. Bhasi, the son of Thampi's son Ravi, a farmer, and Kunchupillai, both classmates. After his education, Ravi became the owner of a large factory. The boss, Ravi, became a womanizer and an alcoholic.
