Basically, it’s a big, gross, nutty version of the stately crime American saga, and similarly Ray Lui’s performance is like a low-rent, nuttier Chow Yun-fat.

Starting out as a mere labourer, Ho soon develops a taste for power after working for Master Kwan, and the two become bitter rivals in the battles for triad territory in Hong Kong.
