    Mitsuo Murayama (村山三男, Murayama Mitsuo?) (Born: 1920 Died: 1978) was a Japanese Film Director and Assistant Director Famous For Action, Mystery and Horror films.[2][3][4]

    Born in Niigata prefecture. Before the war, he joined the Nikkatsu Tamagawa Photo Studio. After the war, he was an assistant director at Daiei, and on March 1, 1951, he became the chairman of the Japan Film Theater Trade Union Confederation (Film Labor Union) . In 1956, he made his directorial debut with "Tokyo Crime Map". He is also known as a master of war movies, and is also in charge of directing TV dramas such as " The Guardman ", " Right Gate Catchbook ", " Tokusou Saizensen ", and " Edo no Taka ". Most of the productions were directed by Mifune Productions, and many of the scriptwriters were in combination with Yukio Tsuda (Yukio Tsuda) and Ichiro Ikeda .
