Howard G. Kazanjian (born July 26, 1942) is an Armenian-American film producer best known for the Star Wars films The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, as well as the Indiana Jones movie Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Howard G. Kazanjian was born on 26 July 1942 in Los Angeles County, California, USA. He is a producer and assistant director, known for Demolition Man (1993), Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) and Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983).
To the general film-going public the name Howard Kazanjian will be meaningless. The more enlightened amongst us (naturally I’m referring to STARBURST readers) will know him as the producer of Raiders of the Lost Ark , Return of the Jed i as well as once being Lucasfilm’s vice president of production.

Kazanjian was an originating member of Lucasfilm, Ltd., serving as its vice president for approximately eight years.
Howard G. Kazanjian is a former Vice President of Lucasfilm Ltd. He co-produced Return of the Jedi with George Lucas. Kazanjian also produced for Lucas on Raiders of the Lost Ark, and was an uncredited producer on The Empire Strikes Back.
