Nov 3, 2017 · Budapest, March 11 (MTI) – The prize-winning Hungarian director András Kovács died on Saturday, aged 91, his family told MTI. Kovács was awarded the Kossuth Prize in 1970, Hungary’s highest state honour for artists, and was a two-time winner of the Balázs Béla Prize.
This film shows the imprint of the biggest cultural transformation of the 20th century: the slow decline of elite highbrow culture and the increasing dominance of the new popular media culture.
