Hill 24 Doesn't Answer (Hebrew: גבעה 24 אינה עונה, romanized: Giḇʿā 24 ʾĒynāh ʿÔnā, Giv'a 24 Eina Ona), the first feature film produced in Israel, is a 1955 Israeli war film directed by Thorold Dickinson.
Directed by Thorold Dickinson, the film has brisk pace and a solid sense of suspense and tension. The low budget surely hampered Dickinson to a degree but his talents (he directed one of the all-time great ghost stories, The Queen of Spades , 1949) were such that the movie still works very well.

Apr 14, 2021 · The screenplay of Hill 24 is credited to Peter Frye and Zvi Kolitz, “from the stories by Zvi Kolitz,” with shooting script credits to director Thorold Dickinson and his wife, Joanna. Kolitz, who also coproduced the film, was born in 1912 in Lithuania, the son of a prominent rabbi.
