Pixar Animation Studios (Pixar) is an American computer animation film studio based in Emeryville, California. Pixar is a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company.
The studio's mascot is Luxo Jr., a desk lamp from the studio's 1986 short film of the same name . Pixar has produced 27 feature films, starting with Toy Story (1995), which is the first fully computer-animated feature film; its most recent film was Elemental (2023). The studio has also produced many short films.

Pixar assisted in the English localization of several Studio Ghibli films, mainly those from Hayao Miyazaki. Pixar was brought on board to fine tune the script of The Muppets. The film was released on November 23, 2011.
