Jeffrey M. Hayes (3 March 1953 – 9 March 2021; age 68) was a veteran writer, producer, and director of television who was involved in the development of Star Trek: The Next Generation. As such, Hayes was interviewed by William Shatner for the latter's 2014 documentary Chaos on the Bridge.
Hayes's father, Bill Hayes, was a business partner and friend of Jeffrey Hunter; the younger Hayes was named for Hunter.
