Katie Tallo is a Canadian screenwriter, director, and author. Early life. Tallo grew up in Ottawa in the Carleton Heights neighbourhood of Nepean. [1] . She is a graduate of Carleton University and Algonquin College. [2] Career.
Katie grew up in Ottawa. An avid swimmer and movie-goer, she loved dreaming up plays for her friends to act out. She went to movie camp and took theatre workshops which eventually led to her landing the role of a spinster librarian in grade eight…the pinnacle of her acting career.
Her publishing debut came in 2020 with the thriller Dark August which became an international bestseller and inspired a trilogy which includes Poison Lilies and Buried Road. She still works in video production as a scriptwriter and director. Katie lives with her husband in the Wellington West neighbourhood of Ottawa.
