Aug 28, 2021 · Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) is an extremely serious viral disease that affects cats, and only cats, worldwide. It is considered one of the least understood of all cat diseases.
FIP is a relatively rare but often fatal viral disease which is common in young cats (less than 2 years old) and kittens and is caused by an infection with the virus named feline coronavirus. It’s important to note that this is different from the coronavirus that infects people and leads to COVID-19.
Launched in January 2022, the FIP Development Goals Report 2021 “Setting goals for the decade ahead” provides a global status update on the goals one year on since their launch and serves as an anchor point that will facilitate the next decade’s roadmap aligned with the UN Agenda 2030.
