Jan 1, 2024 · Government-Paid Paternity Leave is granted to fathers who have been in employment or self-employment for at least three continuous months immediately preceding their child’s date of birth. Eligible father will receive two weeks of paternity leave.
Paternity Leave Supports eligible working fathers (including self-employed fathers) in caring for their newborn children and encourages shared parental responsibility. There will be changes to this scheme for eligible working fathers of Singaporean children born on or after 1 Jan 2024.
