Edition 1 is a collaborative studio album by British crossover project King Midas Sound and Christian Fennesz, released on 15 September 2015 on Ninja Tune, with the instrumental version released in conjunction on the digital and CD versions.
Utilizing improvised guitar tracks, samples, and unreleased material from Fennesz's archive, Edition 1 took shape within the KMS framework. In the wake of Kevin's last Bug album Angels & Devils, he wanted to create a record focused on kaleidoscopic sonic beauty, bathed in the bluest emotional lyricism.

Sep 24, 2015 · At this year's Incubate festival, King Midas Sound's performance of Edition 1, their collaboration with the Austrian guitarist and experimental artist Christian Fennesz, was none of those things. From an ocean of loud and brutal acts on tap, KMS were one of the gentler, more soothing and theatrical reprieves.
