Steven Trotter (November 13, 1960 – October 14, 2022) was an American daredevil who at age 24 became the youngest person to have gone over Niagara Falls in a barrel. He was one of a few people to perform the stunt twice.

Jan 31, 2024 · On August 18, 1985, Steve Trotter, a 22-year-old part-time bartender from Barrington, Rhode Island, became the youngest person to survive a plunge from the Horseshoe Falls. He used a contraption made of 2 plastic pickle barrels surrounded by large rubber inner tubes that were covered by tarpaulin.
Jul 22, 2022 · Later that year, Steve Trotter would become the youngest person ever to go over Niagara Falls in a barrel and the first American to attempt the stunt in 25 years. On 16 August 1985 twenty-two-year-old Trotter approached the river to enter his barrel when he was stopped by the police and escorted back to the US border.
