  5. Aug 19, 2014 · Yellow Crocus is a very well written, very realistic and yet not-heavy handed version of how slavery affected its victims emotionally as much as physically. The characters are well written and multifaceted. The story pacing is a little slow. Yet, still, I could not put it down. I would recommend this book to anyone.
