Alessandro Capone is Professor of Linguistics in the department of Cognitive Science at the University of Messina, Italy. He has a PhD in linguistics (University of Oxford, 1998) and one in philosophy of language (University of Palermo, 2012).
Witch Story was the directorial debut of Alessandro Capone. Capone had previously worked as a screenwriter since the mid-1970s including a few horror films such as Body Count. Capone stated that he was a fan of horror films and wanted his debut to be a horror film.
