امیر سماواتی. متولد 1338. تهیه کننده و کارگردان سینما و اهل همدان است. وی فارغ التحصیل رشته سینما از دانشكده صدا و سیما است. از فعالیتهای او در حوزه تهیه کنندگی می توان به فیلمهای: دربند، کافه ترانزیت و نفس عمیق اشاره کرد. باغ قرمز تنها فیلمی است که او کارگردانی کرده است.
Trapped ( Persian: دربند Darband) is a 2013 Iranian moral thriller film written and directed by Parviz Shahbazi. The film stars Nazanin Bayati, Pegah Ahangarani, Behrang Alavi, Farid Samavati, Ahmad Mehranfar and Amir Samavati. The director won best director award in 13th Dhaka International Film Festival .
