David McCann, the Korea Foundation Professor of Korean Literature, received his B.A. from Amherst College, taught English for two years in Korea in the Peace Corps, and received M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Harvard.
David R. McCann is a scholar of both Japanese and Korean literature, though he is better known for his contributions to the study of the latter.
