Camille Fontaine, née le 31 janvier 1978 à Grenoble, est une réalisatrice et scénariste française. Elle fait des études de cinéma à la Femis, département scénario, dont elle sort diplômée en 2002. Elle écrit ou co-écrit de nombreux scénarios pour le cinéma ainsi que pour la télévision.

Fontaine depicts familiar scenes and objects that she observed on the spot (a swing, a car, an aquarium). She uses frontal framings inspired by Yasujirō Ozu’s and—more recently— Naomi Kawase’s films, thus rendering simple and natural views of Japan.
After 20 years of a colorful life on the beautiful Garden Island of Kauai and her little treehouse studio in the tropical rainforest of upcountry Kalaheo, Miss Fontaine finds new excitement and enjoyment in the light, space, and sea breezes of Waikiki.
