Claude Bolling (10 April 1930 – 29 December 2020) was a French jazz pianist, composer, arranger, and occasional actor.
Born in Cannes on April 10, 1930, he is one of the major figures of 20th century music. A precocious prodigy, he won the Hot Club de France prize at 15, created his first orchestra at 16 and recorded his first record at 18. Disciple of Duke Ellington, he created a big jazz band in 1956.

Claude Bolling, the French pianist, composer and arranger has died aged 90. Bolling attained a worldwide following through his melodic blend of jazz and classical influences and stayed on the Billboard classical charts for more than a decade with his 1975 album Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano.
