Jul 29, 2020 · Listen to the Light: The Making of Brain Damage (54:13, HD) – This brand new retrospective doc features interviews with producer Edgar Ievins, special effects artists Gabe Bartalos & Dan Frye, visual effects supervisor/animator Al Magliochetti, first assistant director Greg Lamberson, and actor Rick Hearst.
Bartalos and Arnold Gargiulo (for whom Bartalos was working as an assistant), met with Henenlotter and producer Edgar Ievins to discuss the effects work that would be involved in Brain Damage. Though Gargiulo was uninterested in the project after having the plot described to him, Bartalos agreed to join the production.
Produced by Edgar Ievins, the film stars Kevin Van Hentenryck as Duane Bradley, a young man who seeks vengeance on the doctors and nurses who performed an unwanted surgery that separated him from his deformed conjoined twin brother Belial, whom Duane hides in a large wicker basket.
