Primarily a theatre-based actor who enjoyed a long association with the RSC, Jones' film career began in the 1930s. His credits include Catherine the Great (1934), First A Girl (1935), A Yank At Oxford (1938), The Wicked Lady (1945), Miranda (1948) and The Sea Shall Not Have Them (1954).
