Jayabharathi (born 28 June 1954 as Lekshmi Bharathi to Shivasankaran Pillai and Sharada, a Malayali couple hailing from Kollam district, Kerala), She is an Indian actress and two-time recipient of the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress and National Film Award by Special Jury Award - Special Mention.
Jayabharathi was the actor who featured in the only song that legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar sang in Malayalam which is Kadhali Chengadhali from the film Nellu (1974). She was also featured in a song sequence sung by Lataji’s sister Asha Bhosle .
