天知 茂 （あまち しげる、 1931年 〈 昭和 6年〉 3月4日 - 1985年 〈昭和60年〉 7月27日 ）は、 日本 の 俳優 ・ 歌手 。 本名は臼井 登（うすい のぼる）。 別名は ペンネーム の宇寿木 純と臼井 暢浩。 芸名はファンである 中日ドラゴンズ の 天知 俊一 監督と 杉下 茂 投手が由来。 愛知県 名古屋市 出身。 東邦商業学校 卒業。 来歴. 旗本 ・ 水野十郎左衛門 の子孫で、家は旧 尾張藩 士であった。 高校卒業後、 1949年 に 松竹 へ。 大部屋俳優 以下の仕出し扱いであった。 2年間、通行人などをこなしたが解雇される。 1951年 、第一期 新東宝 スターレットに選ばれ入社。
